What are legal anabolic steroids? How do you know if the anabolic steroids you are taking are legal? All drugs, no matter what they are used for have two names - a chemical and a trade name. This is the case with drugs used on both humans and animals.

As a case in point the steroid which goes by the chemical name of Testosterone Undecanoate has many different trade names depending on the country it is sold in. So it might be sold under the name Andriol, Androxon, Panteston, Restandol, Undestor, or Virigen. Sometimes the chemical and trade name are the same. In the United States it is illegal for a doctor to prescribe for "athletic enhancement". They may, however, prescribe steroids for legitimate medical reasons such as decreased libido or age-related testosterone problems. In Mexico, however, doctors are not bound by these laws and they can prescribe them for any reason. They can be bought, even without a prescription from some pharmacies. These then are not illegal steroids since the law of Mexico does not prohibit the sale or use of these drugs for medicinal or performance enhancement purposes. However while these are legal anabolic steroids in Mexico, they may not be brought into or sent to a country where they are illegal.

While legal anabolic steroids might be legitimately sold by a company where it is legal to do so - ordering from a mailing list for example, is still considered illegal. If you are caught doing so you could face a fine or jail time.

"Authentic" legal anabolic steroids are available in the United States and are usually natural, amino acid proteins designed to help build muscle strength and size.
